'Sonder' has not yet made its way into the likes of the Oxford English Dictionary yet but exists as an online term. It describes (according to the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows) 'the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.'

This multi channel film is less about the 'vivid', 'colourful' aspects of our lives that we share and focuses instead upon the basic, mundane functions that we all do and can all associate with. The characters in this video all affect each other in small, perhaps insignificant ways- finishing up someone else's milk causing them to use another person's. The knock on effect each character's actions may have could seem insignificantly small however the wider act of recognising the lives of others and the impact you may have upon them is not an insignificant concept and one which is important to grasp in a community setting.
